Cycling
Within easy reach of the house there are 10 local cycling and walking routes catering for all levels of ability. They range from gentle routes suitable for family outings to serious off road and down-hill circuits. Maps and cycle hire are available from the Centre Nautique in Jugon village. You can see several routes by choosing the Maps menu and exploring the Interactive Map.
Frequently Le Tour makes an appearance in Brittany. 2013 was particularly good for cycling fans with a sprint stage you can see here taking place just south of Dinan before the finish in St Malo. Click on the TDF icon to see this years roiute.
Local cycle club activities
Cycling is extremely popular in Brittany with strong interest in Mountain Biking, BMX and Road cycling. As a region Brittany has developed many top french cyclists. Details of the many clubs and events in the local area can be found here
Voies Vertes
Brittany has many dedicated cycle routes (Voies Vertes or Green Ways) that provide attractive safe cycle tours for all abilities, detailed route guides are available from Amazon by searching for "La Bretagne à vélo or clicking here La Bretagne à vélo
Typically these Voies are tarmac surfaced scenic routes dedicated to cyclists and walkers and are broken into easy stages of 17km to 50km making them suitable for cyclists of all abilities. Take a look here where you can see the range of local routes.
